I’m Jodie and I'm passionate about helping people on their journey to self-compassion and inner peace. I believe yoga is much more than a physical exercise… it has the power to help us be kind to ourselves and become more compassionate human beings. I believe that if we can think less and feel more then we can make this world a better place.

It’s hard to put into words what yoga has meant for me. I reached the lowest point in my life before starting therapy and finding yoga, and together they saved my life. Yoga brought me back home to myself. As my consciousness flowed out of my mind and into my body my thoughts became quiet. I got stronger, more resilient, more confident and I felt empowered to start loving life again. I hope to help you do the same.

A few years later I developed misalignment burnout and left my corporate finance job because it just didn’t feel like me anymore. I packed up my flat and set off to get my 200hr yoga teacher training certification in Bali. My wonderful teacher at Yoga Union Bali was Himanshu Bahuguna from Rishikesh, India. It was an unforgettable experience that I will be forever grateful for.

Once I was officially certified I travelled across Asia and Central America for 6 months and got my first teaching jobs at resorts in Cambodia and Colombia. I completely fell in love with teaching and got to teach people from all over the world at all ability levels. I returned home to Scotland a new person and started my small business Soothe Yoga to keep the dream alive.
